The practice loop
Pick a move
Open My Football and choose a move from your league. New players start with the Getting Started guide and the Toa League.
Watch the tutorial
Every move has an official video tutorial, a plain-language description and numbered, step-by-step mechanics.
Practice
Grab a ball and practice wherever you have space: at home, in the garden, at the park or at training. Focus on control first. Speed comes later.
Record or upload
When you are ready, record a new attempt with your camera or upload a video you already have.
Get rated
Other players rate your move with stars, and connected coaches can review it. Stars rate the move, not the person.
Unlock and level up
Earn enough stars to unlock the next move. Not there yet? Watch, practice and try again.
Move pages
Every move answers four questions
What is it?
The move’s name, league and level.
How do I do it?
A video tutorial, a description and step-by-step mechanics.
Where am I?
Your stars, trophies and official progression video.
What next?
Record a new attempt, retake it or keep practicing.
The curriculum: 220 moves
The curriculum runs over 10 levels, grouped into 4 leagues. Players master foundation moves first, then link them into longer combinations. Leagues you have not reached yet show as locked, with what you need to unlock them.
| League | Levels | Moves | What players learn |
|---|---|---|---|
| Toa League | Level 1 | 40 | 40 foundation moves |
| Super League | Levels 2 to 5 | 80 | Combinations of two to five moves, 20 per level |
| Ultimo Liga | Levels 6 to 9 | 80 | Combinations of six to nine moves, 20 per level |
| Grandes Maestros Liga | Level 10 | 20 | Ten-move combinations for the masters |
Progress
Stars, trophies and your profile
Stars are your readiness signal. When your videos are rated, you earn stars that show whether a move is ready for the next step. Stars rate the move, never the person.
Trophies recognise the moves you complete, and your profile brings it all together: your league, stars, trophies, challenge wins and links to your coaches.
The retry loop. Not enough stars yet? That is part of learning.
- Watch the official tutorial again.
- Check other players’ videos to see how they did it.
- Practice.
- Upload a new attempt.
- Earn enough stars to move forward.

Your videos: who sees what
My Videos keeps every upload in one place, tagged by type, and each move page shows your official progression video. Below, “public” means visible to other Amigo users in the app.
| Video type | Who can see it | Can be rated? | Counts towards progression? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Curriculum | Public in the app | Yes | Yes. A re-take replaces your official progression video |
| Challenge | Visible based on the challenge’s state | Yes, when live | Can replace your progression video if it scores higher |
| Coach assignment | Private by default | No, while private | No, while private |
| Coach-approved assignment you choose to share | Public in the app | Yes | Can replace your progression video if it scores higher |
| Freestyle | Public in the app | Yes | No. Freestyle is for fun and creativity |
Players under 13 use a linked parent or guardian account, and uploads can require a parent’s approval. See the parents’ guide.

FAQ
Questions about playing
How many moves are in the Amigo curriculum?
The curriculum has 220 moves across 10 levels, grouped into 4 leagues. It starts with 40 foundation moves in the Toa League and builds up to ten-move combinations in the Grandes Maestros Liga.
What are stars?
Stars are your readiness signal. You earn stars when your videos are rated, and they show whether a move is ready for the next step. Stars are about the move, not about popularity. Not there yet? Watch the tutorial, check other videos, then try again.
What are trophies?
Trophies recognise the moves you complete. Your profile shows your league, stars, trophies and challenge wins as you work through the levels.
What are Amigos?
Amigos are your football friends in the app. Find players by name, move or club, send an Amigo request, then challenge each other. For supervised under-13 accounts, requests can go to a parent or guardian for approval.
How do challenges work?
Choose a move from the curriculum and challenge one of your Amigos. You both upload an attempt, and the community rates each one. It is a friendly way to give each other a reason to keep practicing.
Where can I see my videos?
My Videos keeps all your uploads in one place, tagged as Curriculum, Challenge, Assignment or Freestyle. Each curriculum move also shows your official progression video, your recognised attempt for that move.
Is Amigo a game?
Amigo is football training made fun, not a video game. Stars, trophies, levels and challenges make real-world practice more rewarding, but you progress by practicing with a real ball and uploading your attempts.
