About Amigo
What is Amigo?
Amigo is a free football (soccer) skills training app for young players. Players watch video tutorials, practice real moves, upload their attempts, earn star ratings and level up through a curriculum of 220 moves across 10 levels. Parents and coaches can follow along, and players under 13 use a linked parent or guardian account.
Is Amigo a game?
Amigo is football training made fun, not a video game. Stars, trophies, levels and challenges make real-world practice more rewarding, but you progress by practicing with a real ball and uploading your attempts.
Who is Amigo for?
Amigo is for young football players who want to get better, whether they play for a club, train at an academy or practice on their own. Parents and guardians get tools to oversee younger players, and coaches can assign skills and give private feedback.
What age is Amigo for?
Amigo is made for children and teenagers who love football. Players under 13 sign up with a linked parent or guardian account, and players aged 13 and over can create their own account. The app is rated 9+ on the App Store and Everyone on Google Play.
Is Amigo free?
Yes. Amigo is free to download on the App Store and Google Play.
Do I need a coach or a club to use Amigo?
No. Amigo works with or without a coach, club or academy. You can follow the curriculum at your own pace at home, in the park or anywhere you have a ball. If you do have a coach, they can connect with you in the app and assign moves to practice between sessions.
Does Amigo replace a football coach?
No. Amigo supports coaching, it does not replace it. It helps players keep practicing between sessions and gives coaches a simple way to assign skills and follow progress.
Is "Amigo: Soccer Training" the same app?
Yes. In the United States the app is listed as Amigo: Soccer Training. In other countries it is listed as Amigo: Football Training. It is the same app, made by Amigo Sports Limited.
Which languages is Amigo available in?
Amigo is currently available in English.
Playing and progress
How does Amigo work?
Pick a move, watch the video tutorial and practice it. Then record or upload your attempt. Other players rate your move with stars, and connected coaches can review it too. Earn enough stars to unlock the next move and keep levelling up through the leagues.
How many moves are in the Amigo curriculum?
The curriculum has 220 moves across 10 levels, grouped into 4 leagues. It starts with 40 foundation moves in the Toa League and builds up to ten-move combinations in the Grandes Maestros Liga.
What are stars?
Stars are your readiness signal. You earn stars when your videos are rated, and they show whether a move is ready for the next step. Stars are about the move, not about popularity. Not there yet? Watch the tutorial, check other videos, then try again.
What are trophies?
Trophies recognise the moves you complete. Your profile shows your league, stars, trophies and challenge wins as you work through the levels.
What are Amigos?
Amigos are your football friends in the app. Find players by name, move or club, send an Amigo request, then challenge each other. For supervised under-13 accounts, requests can go to a parent or guardian for approval.
How do challenges work?
Choose a move from the curriculum and challenge one of your Amigos. You both upload an attempt, and the community rates each one. It is a friendly way to give each other a reason to keep practicing.
Where can I see my videos?
My Videos keeps all your uploads in one place, tagged as Curriculum, Challenge, Assignment or Freestyle. Each curriculum move also shows your official progression video, your recognised attempt for that move.
What is Uka?
Uka is Amigo’s upcoming reward currency. It is designed to reward useful actions like practicing, rating other players and taking part in challenges, and to unlock rewards such as Player Card cosmetics. Uka is coming soon.
What is the Player Card?
The Player Card is coming soon: a customisable card that shows your football journey, with your level, achievements, avatar and the cosmetics you have earned. Today, your profile shows your league, stars, trophies and challenge wins.
Parents and safety
Is Amigo safe for children?
Amigo is designed with safety built in. Players under 13 use a linked parent or guardian account, approval controls support supervised participation, and community feedback is star ratings only, with no written comments and no open chat. Every video can be reported or blocked, content is screened, and reports are reviewed by our team.
Can other users message my child?
No. Amigo has no open chat and no written comments. Players interact only through structured football actions: rating moves, Amigo requests and challenges.
Who can see my child's videos?
Curriculum, challenge and freestyle videos are visible to other Amigo users inside the app so they can be rated with stars. Coach assignment videos are private by default, and a coach-approved assignment only becomes public if your child chooses to share it. With a supervised account, uploads can need your approval first.
How do parent approvals work?
With a supervised account, selected actions, such as uploading a video or connecting with a new Amigo or coach, come to you first. You can watch the video and approve or reject it.
What is the parent PIN?
If your family shares a device, the parent profile is protected by a PIN, so your child can play in their own profile while your guardian controls stay locked.
How do I delete an account or my child's data?
In the app, go to Settings, then Account, then Delete Account. If that option is not available in your version, email support@amigofootball.com and we will help. Parents and guardians can also ask to access, correct or delete a child's information by emailing privacy@amigofootball.com.
How do I report a problem or unsafe behaviour?
Use the Report or Block controls on any video, or email safety@amigofootball.com. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. Amigo support is not an emergency service.
